Real Snowdrop locket necklace

"Many, many welcomes, February fair-maid!
Ever as of old time, Solitary firstling,
Coming in the cold time, Prophet of the gay time,
Prophet of the May time, Prophet of the roses,
Many, many welcomes, February fair-maid!"

- Alfred Lord Tennyson

A single white snow drop blossom, picked in the earliest days of Spring has been pressed and encased in a vintage style locket to create this beautiful nature keepsake necklace. Snowdrops are emblematic of Spring, new beginnings and hope. They are also symbolic of the cycle of birth and death and are the January birth-flower. Their name derives from latin, meaning 'snow like flowers'

Based on the history and folklore of these plants, I have created a truly meaningful gift for your loved one, a bouquet of flowers which will never fade away. Your new pendant will arrive safely packaged in one of my beautiful signature gift boxes, complete with a gift card telling where it was made and it's symbolic significance.

The natural beauty of these flowers has been captured using my tried and tested preservation process, to create a vibrant flower to last a lifetime.

The locket has been hung on a 28 inch long bronze rolo chain. If you'd prefer a different length chain just leave a note in the 'message to seller' box at checkout.

Ruby Robin specializes in unique, keepsake jewellery for the modern day romantic. All the designs were imagined and made by Irish designer Khrystyna Marriott.

The pieces at Ruby Robin are designed to allow the quiet beauty of nature to shine, to stir the imagination, inspire wonder and encapsulate a microcosm of long forgotten memories. I make my jewellery using a range of strange and beautiful curiosities, found in the woods and on the mountain sides, on the windswept beaches and wild meadows.

'The mountains are calling and I must go.'
