Here is a pretty little pendant featuring an elegant glass teardrop filled to the top with a fun mix of colourful flower petals picked and preserved during the summer. The flowers used to make this piece are a combination of native Irish wild flowers picked in the countryside of Ireland and also cottage garden flowers grown in my garden.
The flowers inside can include; forgetmenots, rose petals, marigolds, cornflowers, daisies, cosmos, clover, moss, babies breath and hydrangeas! I use whatever colourful petals I have to hand and so the combination may vary from the one pictured.
This would make such a lovely gift for any lover of nature and flowers, of summer meadows and bright colours, a passionate gardener or someone who just appreciates the pretty little things in life.
The bottle is sealed with an elegant leaf-motif cap, and strung on a beautiful sterling silver chain. The Art Nouveau style bead cap is silver-plated.
While every care has been taken to ensure the longevity of this piece, do try to keep it away from water and store it away from direct sunlight when you're not wearing it.
The pieces at Ruby Robin are designed to allow the quiet beauty of nature to shine, to stir the imagination, inspire wonder and encapsulate a microcosm of long forgotten memories. I make my jewellery using a range of strange and beautiful curiosities, found in the woods and on the mountain sides, on the windswept beaches and wild meadows.
