Oh, the charm of idle dreaming
Where the dappled shadows dance,
All the leafy aisles are teeming
With the lure of old romance!
Down into the forest dipping,
Deep and deeper as we go,
One might fancy dryads slipping
Where the white-stemmed birches grow.
- Lucy Maud Montgomery
A cluster of tiny brown and white mushrooms peep up among the flowers and wild grasses from the mossy bed of a forest floor. This magical woodland shadowbox locket was handmade with real plants that I have picked and preserved from my woodland wanders in the forests of Ireland to create a perfect capsule garden for flower faeries and mushroom foragers alike!
This pendant is hung on a 28 inch bronze rolo chain with a little brass acorn and leaf charm attached. The locket is made from glass and bronze and all the findings are nickel-free.
As this piece was made with real flowers and plants, please take care to keep it safe and dry. The mushrooms are hand-sculpted from fimo.
Ruby Robin specializes in unique, keepsake jewellery for the modern day romantic. All the designs were imagined and made by Irish designer Khrystyna Marriott.
The pieces at Ruby Robin are designed to allow the quiet beauty of nature to shine, to stir the imagination, inspire wonder and encapsulate a microcosm of long forgotten memories. I make my jewellery using a range of strange and beautiful curiosities, found in the woods and on the mountain sides, on the windswept beaches and wild meadows.
