A tiny bunch of forget me nots, a token from of the first days of summer have been preserved and captured a tiny glass vial to make this dainty little botanical necklace. A traditional symbol of love and devotion this teardrop pendant would make such a romantic gift for a bride to be or (especially as her something blue) or other loved one! As a symbol of remembrance this would also be a lovely little reminder of someone special you'd like to keep close to your heart.
Forgetmenots have always been a favourite of mine, and I grow a huge patch of them in my garden every year where their thousands of tiny blue faces take over in an eruption of beautiful chaos. I pick the flowers early in the morning when the flowers are at their strongest and treat them in a way that their colours and form are so well preserved that they look just as pretty as when they were alive.
The glass vial is suspended on a choice of beautiful chains! You can choose from silver plated (pictured above), or a 925 Sterling silver or 14K gold filled flat link cable chain. The fastening connecting the bottle to the chain will be either silver plated or gold plated.
While every care has been taken to ensure the longevity of this piece, do try to keep it away from water and store it away from direct sunlight.
The plants used to make my jewellery have all been preserved and treated, so will not wither or fade over time.
